  1. Job: We are searching for individuals to become part of our family and join our sales team. In this role you will assist customers who will inquire through our website or by phone. By listening to their needs, you will develop an emergency generator solution that will keep their power on in any situation.

This is not a call center job! Very few sales are closed over the phone, there is no pressure. There is no cold-calling. Customers find us by our website, TV Commercials and several forms of advertising we invest in each day, along from word-of-mouth from neighbors. You will work with our 2-3 person sales team fielding calls and directing some calls to outside salespeople who will visit the customer to give them a Firm Quote in writing for a generator system to suit their needs.

Louisiana Generator NEVER sells customers things they don't need. This is a non-commission sales position and serving the community is our priority. In addition to sales duties, you will assist the outside sales team with their own duties by setting appointments, preparing quotes and more. Room for advancement in outside sales, marketing, management and other fields within the company. We promote from within!

Qualifications: Clean, neat appearance. No visible tattoos. Excellent telephone skills and with a confident voice and correct use of grammar. Previous experience in sales, combined with knowledge of building trades, power equipment, generators or a related industry such as Heating/Air, Electrical, Window/Door Sales, Alarms, etc preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required, and some college or college degree preferred. 2-year or 4-year degree in an applicable field preferred. A naturally outgoing personality, sense of urgency, and desire to move quickly and get the job done...well, that's a must. All applicants should be familiar with the expectations of a professional workplace. Must be able to work an entire workday without use of tobacco. Our office has a highly family-friendly environment, zero harassment policy, zero drug policy, and we offer flexible working hours and with 6 months of employment receive a one week paid vacation, Paid Holiday Christmas, New Years, July 4th, Labor Day, Easter, Memorial Day.

Compensation: This is an hourly or salaried position with compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications. Working hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm Eastern time. A 40-hour/week schedule can be expected (little to no overtime). Our office is 'zero-paper' wherever possible, and computer proficiency is a must. Please do not apply unless you can easily pass a Word and spreadsheet mid-level competency tests. Despite the importance of a cover letter, only 1 in 20 applicants supply one! We have a very strict drug and alcohol policy. Anyone who doesn’t stay with one company for at least 2-3 yrs, but has gone from job to job with each new year or even less than a year, or that has not had a job in the last 6 months will need to include a verifiable explanation/reason for the history of your employment. We typically overlook resumes from candidates who do not show a steady work history over the past 3 years. After a job offer is extended, all candidates must be able to pass a drug and background check. Job Type: Full-time Salary: starting at $14.00 and higher depending on experience and person salary is negotiable.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am-5pm, also available Afternoon Shifts and Weekends Part time, flexible with a commission pay.
